Vaccines to be offered as part of Juneteenth activities on Tues., June 14 and Thurs., June 16

The Johnstown NAACP is partnering with the Unity Coalition of the Southern Alleghenies and others to produce a full week of activities in Johnstown’s Central Park to celebrate Juneteenth, which commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people after the Civil War. From June 12-19 free activities will be held every day in the park, and will include food, music, dancing, vendors, special fun for kids, and much more!

Free COVID vaccines will be available in Central Park (any vaccine in the series: first, second, booster, or second booster for those who are eligible) for adults and kids 5 and over from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 14 and Thursday, June 16. Be sure to bring your vaccine card if you’re getting a second shot or booster!
