Free COVID testing to be offered Jan. 16-27

Free COVID-19 testing (PCR, Point of Care antigen, and rapid testing) will be available in two locations in the coming weeks through a partnership between the PA Dept. of Health and AMI Expeditionary Healthcare. No appointment or health insurance is needed.

Test sites are as follows:

Monday, 1/16 through Friday, 1/20, 10:30 am-7:00 pm
Friedens Lutheran Church (drive-through)

131 S. Main St.
Friedens, PA 15541

Tuesday, 1/23 through Friday, 1/27
University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, Murtha Center (walk-in)

450 Schoolhouse Road
Johnstown, PA 15904
(Complete schedule: 1/24, 1/25, 1/27: 9:00 am-6:00 pm; 1/26, 9:00 am-3:00 pm)

Testing is on a first come, first serve basis, with up to 450 patients served per day; you do not have to be symptomatic to receive a test. Patients must be aged 3 or older.

Point of care antigen test results are available within 15-20 minutes of testing. PCR results are sent two to seven days after testing. If you test positive, you’ll receive a phone call from AMI Expeditionary Healthcare, which is performing the tests; if negative, you’ll receive a secure PDF document via email.
